I never noticed this barn-like garage building just a block from bustling St. Charles Avenue before.

I love happening upon scenes like this – aside from visible buildings in the background, this looks like it could be in the middle of nowhere.

I feel lucky to live in a city with all the amenities of urban living like a variety of  food and entertainment options, while being surrounded by trees and grass and flowers.  Seems like the best of all possible worlds!

  1. Terrific find. Could be anywhere is exactly right!

  2. Great find!

I’m enjoying your blog – my son goes to Tulane and I’m looking forward to a visit in a week or so. I’m bringing my camera and want to walk around and shoot some pictures – never have done that there. Hope I can do close to the quality that you show.

I’ve loved New Orleans for decades, though I’ve never been lucky enough to get to live there. I have worked there quite a bit – both in the city and the surrounding areas.

    Keep up the great work!

    • Thanks so much, Bill!
My photos are almost all taken with a tiny little Olympus point and shoot – you’ll have no trouble taking beautiful photos here – they basically jump out and grab you! Enjoy your visit with your son!
