A minty green double shotgun with beautiful arch-top windows and brackets!

With a sky blue sister next door sporting completely different brackets.

The house numbers let you know that we’re in the Irish Channel.

  1. Creme de Menthe is right. Very minty!

  2. These daily photos are so great!
Is it mostly from the French Quarter or all over town?
It seems like a wonderful place to live and walk around for inspiration.

    • Most of the photos are from Uptown – about a mile from Audubon Park – that’s my neighborhood. But I take my little camera everywhere I go and so I do get photos from the French Quarter and other parts of town. It just depends. Glad you’re enjoying! šŸ™‚

  3. Ooh, I just brought in my Corsican mint plant for the winter, and that’s what they use for Creme de Menthe! šŸ™‚ Your photos always just put such a smile on my face. They are like pure sunshine and fun. I cannot thank you enough! šŸ™‚

  4. Carla, whats the story behind the house numbers in the Irish Channel? These two houses remind me of the little mints that are served at baby showers. Or at least they were served at baby showers when I was younger.

    • No story – just that the 2500 block matches with the area that’s called the Irish Channel. You’ll notice that a lot of the houses I photograph have numbers in the 5000 or 6000 range because that’s closer to where I live. Sorry to be unclear! šŸ™‚
