Take a peek at yesterday’s post if you haven’t had a chance yet, so you can see these twins together.

This one’s still a double shotgun.

I love the red doors and the fleurs de lis in the window glass.

And more beautiful shutters.

  1. Another great photo! I think I like the other purely on the fact that the light is warmer. πŸ™‚ I love the details! If only I lived in a place with such fascinating houses. And look at that front fence/gate! πŸ™‚

    • Funny about the light – they were taken at the same time, but I agree that the light is much warmer on the first! Both taken in evening light. Thanks for the comments – yes, I’m so lucky to live here! I can’t turn around without running into a photo opportunity! πŸ™‚

  2. HI Karla,
I really like your latest entry about the twins. The straight lines remind me of my favorite type of victorian house ‘Italianate’.

  3. Carla,

Of your posts this week I especially like the 2 “Side by Side” ones. Have you put out a photo book of NOLA architecture?

    • Thanks so much! Sorry I’ve been out of commission for a week – just being a lazy blogger. I haven’t put out a book but I ought to slurp this blog into a book and see what happens! Thanks for the support! πŸ™‚
